Enhanced Due Diligence
What is enhanced due diligence?
Due diligence is a step taken by a business before getting into any arrangements with a company to protect its interests. This involves a detailed examination of a company including its financial records. With enhanced due diligence, these traditional health checks are taken to a higher level to further protect a company’s interest, especially in areas involving compliance with anti-money laundering, corruption and anti-bribery laws, and to secure continuity of the supply chain. It includes a careful examination of third-party risks across Political, Economic, Socio-cultural, Technological, Legal and Environmental (PESTLE) categories.
